I bought this tent because as a first-timer, I was looking for something easy to use and reasonably priced. This tent was extremely easy for one person to set up (though the directions say something about a sleeve which I've still never found...) and at 7' by 7', it is roomy enough for me and my dog to sleep comfortably. (Before I bought it, I used painters' tape to lay out a 7' by 7' square on the floor to make sure my big sleeping bag, gear, dog, and I would all fit inside comfortably). I'm not sure how it will hold up to the test of time- it does feel very light and I question just how sturdy it is, but I had it set up in some significant winds and it did just fine. One of the features I really like is having the front vestibule. It's very handy for putting things that you want out of view, but not necessarily in your tent- hiking boots, dog towels, etc. The vestibule has two openings - one on the front and one on the side, which is kind of hard to see in pictures. The tent comes in a small bag, and is light to carry. It is ideal for 1-2 people. 3 would be kind of tough to cram in here though, someone would definitely be touching the walls of the tent- never good for keeping dry. One downer is that if you want to have the windows of the tent open, you have to go around to the outside of the tent to open them on the fly. Also, you'll want to get some decent tent stakes- the ones that come with it aren't really that sturdy and bent the first time I used them. Other than those small inconveniences, I've been very happy with this tent. I'll update once I've had to use it in some weather to let you know how it holds up. I've already waterproofed it with some Camp-Dry, but we'll see how well it does in a rain.Update: Had some rain this weekend, and it did great- no leaks. I did use three cans of Camp Dry, which may have been overkill, but I was very impressed with how sturdy it felt in the wind and with the fact that even the corners stayed nice and dry.

I was a bit skeptical about buying such an inexpensive tent but it had the exact features I wanted. The vestibule is gi-normous and the interior of the actual tent is fairly spacious. I am 6' 2" 210 lbs and this tent will easily sleep three. Very easy to set-up and a breeze to re-pack. I have had MANY tents in my life from the old-school "A" frame type to one I just bought a few years ago that is a $250 six person Eureka. I currently have three tents for different occasions but I think this one will now be my primary. The seams are already sealed and it has the heavy duty tarp like floor that is wrapped up approximately four inches.This tent is perfect for just about any occasion including backpacking. However, if you plan to backpack with this tent you may want to invest in some light-weight aluminum poles, as I am doing. I will probably be spending about an additional thirty or so dollars for the poles but the price point on the tent itself allows plenty of room for upgrades. If you want to do some hardcore upgrades you may want to purchase some new stakes and some para-cord for guy-lines but it's not necessary. This tents value could easily be $300.00!

I bought this tent with high expectations and was well satisfied. There isn't any real running of poles. You put a pin in the poles to keep them anchored and you clip the tent to the pole. That means you don't run them through pockets. the tent is exactly 7 feet. I put a cheap twin air matress in there and it ran from side to side. I'm 6 foot and my head and feet were almost hitting the angled walls. the rain fly and vestabule are awesome. it has a front door and a door on the side of the Vestabule. I recomend you use the side door. I found out that crawling through the dirt to get to your entrance door was not cool and made a mess. The space is pretty decent and allows for you to put your pack and shoes outside free from the rain.
