This tent is very good for the price if you are only going on a simple camping trip and require nothing more than a simple shelter. It is water and wind resistant, but will not keep water out in an extended downpour and the wind will certainly shake it around pretty good. A simple tarp in conjunction with this is more than sufficient however.It is spacious enough for 2 adults or 3 kids, and has plenty of headroom should the weather confine you in it for a while. Setup time is quick even for a novice, and it packs up easily. While packed, it rolls to approximately 5.5" x 23" -- too large for a backpacker. It also runs about 5lbs. Again, if you want an inexpensive, basic shelter for a weekend outing -- this is perfect. Anything long-term, four season, backpacker or survivalist -- choose something else.

I purchased this tent for my eight-year-old son for his birthday and we've used it once for a night of camping. The tent appears to be very durable and is also easy to setup. My son had set it up in roughly 10 minutes by himself. I can see that we'll get a lot of use out of this tent for some time to come, however, the tent does have one big drawback; it has a screen on the door of it, but no other screen in the tent to allow for air flow. All through the night the inside walls of the tent were soaked with moisture and it was simply stifling. Granted, it was hot that night, but there was a steady breeze outside the tent. Inside the tent was simply unbearable without better ventilation. We'll use the tent again, but it will surely be closer to late fall or early spring instead.

I'm not sure if the file photo was changed after I bought the tent or if I had just overworked my brain by looking at many different tents, but I thought I had ordered a tent with a full rainfly... Which obviously isn't the case here. I camped in this tent two nights; the second night it was raining - light to moderate rain throughout the night. This tent leaks! There was a good-sized puddle on the floor and on my sleeping bag. I wasn't touching the tent walls and wicking in moisture this way. I was able to watch it leak through the seams in several different places. I'm glad the wind wasn't blowing or it wasn't raining heavily; I could have ended up quite wet.Overall, this tent is what you would expect from a cheap dome tent. It's easy to set up and take down, it's free-standing, and comes with some el-cheapo tent stakes that should be thrown directly in the garbage upon receipt of the tent. The tent colors are nice and blend in with the forest, which is a large part of the reason I bought this tent. It's reasonably light and breaks down to a fairly small size for the price point. The construction and fabric feels a bit cheap, though no more so than other tents I've used at this price point. The air flow is also very poor; there just isn't enough mesh... because they can't afford to without a full rain fly. I just can't figure out why they would have designed this tent with such a small rain fly though instead of a full-length or at least one that reaches down past the bathtub bottom.I will keep this tent, but just for my kids to use in the back yard. I won't be taking this on any more trips, as it's simply not up to the task. If it had a full-length rain fly, this would change my entire review of the tent.In summary:Pros:-packs fairly light and small for the price-nice colors-easy setup and take down (like any dome tent, pretty much)-free-standingCons:-minuscule rain fly-leaks in light to moderate rain-very cheap tent stakes-somewhat cheap materials and construction-poor air circulation in tentI would not recommend this tent, nor would I buy it again.
