I just purchased this tent to upgrade from my old 8x10 Wenzel tent. I needed something large to be able to accommodate several 3'x6.5' cots for winter camping. After searching around the internet and comparing many different tents I decided to settle on this one. I was very pleased with the tent. We took it on our annual winter camping trip in January in Wisconsin. I purchased a large tarp to put on the ground underneath the tent. The tent set up pretty easily. We had 4 guys to set up so it didn't take us too long to set it up. We could have set it up easily enough with 2 people as well. It would be unwieldly, but probably not impossible, for one person to set up (but who would need such a large tent for themselves?). Everything was color-coded, so matching up the poles to the proper place was not a problem. The tent basically consists of two main parts. The inner tent (main tent) and the rain fly which covers the entire tent.You set up the inner tent first. It was easy to attach the poles and they are securely held in place by metal pins that are put into the base of each pole. The metal poles are sturdy and form the legs for the outside walls. There are fiberglass poles which connect to the top of the metal poles and support the ceiling of the inner tent. These are thicker and seem sturdier than most of the fiberglass tent poles I've seen on other tents. The inner tent is then staked down by putting a stake through the rings where the metal pins connect the tent poles to the tent. This secures the inner tent to the ground very nicely. I did not use the tent stakes that came with the tent however. The factory stakes look like they would work out fine for summer camping, but we were using the tent in winter. I had a large bag of metal spike stakes from my previous tent so I used those because you need larger, sturdier stakes to pound through the snow/ice and the frozen ground in winter.Once the inner tent was securely set up, we unrolled the rain fly and then draped it over the inner tent. It is nice and thick and seems like it will be very sturdy. It was easy to secure the rain fly to the inner tent via the elastic rings that you attach to the stakes you used to hold the inner tent down. We did not set up the poles on the rain fly to make the awnings as we didn't need to worry about rain in the winter.This tent has 10 doors, which gives you a lot of possibilities on how you want to configure / use the tent. You have 8 external doors, and 2 internal doors. We decided to just open up one of the external doors in the center so that we wouldn't track snow into the sleeping rooms.We were able to set up 2 cots in each of the sleeping rooms. My one complaint about the tent would be if they could've made the sleeping rooms about 6" to 12" longer it would fit the cots much better. If you need to, you could definitely get 3 cots in each of the sleeping rooms. We set up the kerosene heater in the center room and this kept the tent a comfortable temperature throughout the night. There was enough ventilation in the tent that we didn't get any condensation on the tent walls either. During summer, when you don't need to have a heater running, you could fit 3 to 4 cots in the center room as well.The door zippers open very smoothly and seem to be good quality. There are several pouch sleeves on the walls to stash gear. The material of the tent seems well sealed and is a good thickness. It looks like I'll be able to get many years of use out of this tent.
